Understand business requirements and functionality that needs to be developed c.. Escalate development related issues to ensure proper action is taken Qualifications: a.. BS / BA in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or Mathematics. b.. Minimum 3+ years of IT experience Technical Knowledge: a.. BS, 3-7 years of experience b.. Object oriented design methodologies and patterns c.. Java, J2EE d.. Standard MVC frameworks (e.g. Struts, Hibernate) e.. XML and XSL related technologies f.. Knowledge about current JAVA trends (e.g. JSF, JPA etc.) g.. WLI, WLS servers h.. Messaging technologies i.. Enterprise architecture and portal technologies j.. Understanding databases (Oracle, SQLServer etc) and data aggregation technologies k.. Experience with service oriented (SOA), integration technologies and application standards l.. Conversant of structured and process oriented development/implementation methodologies Business Knowledge: a.. General knowledge of financial industry - equities, fixed income, options a..
