Rate is low at $27-30/hr so local candidates are preferred: May 24 - August 27. 4 openings. Mercury & SQL queries is a plus Essential Functions: Job Functions Include: 1. Responsible for system and regression testing and certification of all software developed by development teams . 2. Responsible for communicating to developers any problems encountered during certification. 3. Develop test scripts for manual testing of applications. 4. Coordinate with other groups within development and operations to ensure any custom software operates with existing company and business unit standards as appropriate. 5. Obtain and maintain test data and metrics, review issue reports, and create specifications for test/data environments. Additional Responsibilities Include: 1. Ability to establish an understanding of the business requirements and needs of each area to identify and implement new software solutions. 2. Complete understanding of the software development life cycle and quality assurance concepts. 3. Familiarity with software process improvement. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication. QUALIFICATIONS: · B.S. in computer related field or equivalent work experience. · Experience in Mercury - Software Automation Testing Tool a plus · Must have at least 3+ years of computer experience, preferably 3+ years of QA experience. · Must have experience with web application and web server testing. · Experience with Visual Basic, databases, Internet programming (HTML/ASP). - a plus · Experience in software QA tasks such as writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts. · Experience with SQL queries a plus.
