SQL Server DBA with nHibernate Exp.

Must haves: 


1) Enterprise-level (big IT department) SQL Server 2008 exp.  They must be able 
to read data models, conduct schema reviews and table normalization and advise 
best practices.  


2) nHibernate experience.  This will be a challenge to find around SQL. 


·        Identify and resolve discrepancies between our database implementation 
and UPMC requirements specified in the following 3 documents:  

UPMC SQL Server Physical Database Design Best Practices, 

UPMC SQL Server Database Standards, 

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Physical Database Storage Design (as applicable for 
SQL Server 2008)

·        Review our database schema and tune for supportability, security, 
scalability and performance

·        Recommend optimal transaction log size and growth parameters

·        Develop, document and implement a strategy for doing field upgrades of 
our schema while maintaining customer data.

·        Work with build engineer to automate deployment of the filegroup config

·        Develop and implement a configurable image lifecycle management 
strategy

·        Develop harnesses and utilities for load and stress testing, and for 
verifying DB upgrades.

·        Work closely with developers and managers to understand requirements 
and tasks, and to communicate progress

·        Develop, document and test backup and restore procedures

·        Identify any best practice violations and recommend corrective action
