Job Title: Junior Business Analyst Duration: 6+ Months Location: Detroit, MI Need only OPT's/EAD's/GC/Citizens ONLY!!! All candidates must have health care experience. They must have basic SQL skills, and be able to extract data. They should have Access and Excel skills too. These projects are health care provider related, which is why health care is a must. We can consider candidates from out of the area as long as they can attend the in person interview day (with a 2 day notice.) Required: 5 + years experience in Data Analysis/Business Analysis - interviewing for requirements, analysis of what exists in the EDW, develop design document to build report, build queries to extract data and the sort the data and map to report and test the report. Candidate must have the BA skills necessary to gather information and design solution but development and query skills to get data and build report 3 + years experience with SQL. Excellent skills and experience with SQL (PL/SQL and / or Transact-SQL). The ability to write SQL scripts to load data into target databases, write complex queries, etc. is critical. 3 + years experience with relational databases and the ER model. 1 + years experience with healthcare data, preferably in claim adjustments. Experience in healthcare reporting is helpful. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistical methodologies. Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Excellent documentation skills: MS Word, MS Visio, MS Excel. "Self starter" able to work with minimal supervision. The Technology Specialist will need to take ownership of assignments, have the initiative to gather needed materials and information, and see the project through to completion. Preferred: 3 + years experience managing and creating artifacts for relevant phases of the SDLC (requirements, design, construction and testing). These may include: business requirements documentation, business process diagrams, entity relationship and logical data models, current and future state diagrams, and report layouts and data mappings. 3 + years experience working with testing or test teams and a solid understanding of the testing process, assuming a gray box method, including assistance writing the test plan, creating and maintaining traceability matrices, creating test cases, codifying test procedures, extracting data for test cases, and assistance with executing the test plan in integration, system and user acceptance testing.
