The client is a Insurance Company Location: Novato, CA Duration: 6 months+ Responsibilities: This performance engineer will work within the framework of the internal Centralized Testing organization executing certification and performance related tasks. General duties include, but are not limited to: * Develop/enhance performance workload distribution test models * Simulate number of concurrent users for load scenarios to determine response times and bottlenecks * Monitor resources and collect metrics during the tests in order to determine the impact of load/stress testing on the infrastructure * Identify and document bottlenecks or delays * Communicate test results and collaborate with other teams to identify issues needing more analysis and specialized expertise * Understand technical architecture, functional and nonfunctional requirements, data models * Estimate effort, develop test plans, prepare test environment, test scenarios, data and test scripts * Support and participate in performance tuning with the technology team * Communicate technical issues and needs as appropriate * Work will primarily be done onsite at Novato Office.
