We have a Project Management opportunity in Milwaukee, WI.  Please see the

BMC Remedy experience strongly preferred. 


Position:  Project Manager 

Location:  Milwaukee, WI 

Duration: 6 + months 

Max rate: up to $45/hour on W2 all inclusive

Scope of work: 
This position will manage the Remedy ITSM Upgrade Implementation Project from 
pre-planning through implementation, using our defined Project Management 
Methodology.  Additional description of this role follows.

This project is the follow-on effort to the Remedy ITSM Upgrade Planning & 
Design project.  The Planning & Design project has produced the following 
deliverables to be used by the Implementation Project.  Each of these 
deliverables may require updates as part of the Implementation project.

  a.. Business Requirements
  b.. High-level Process Design 
  c.. High-level Technical Design documents, Use Cases, and Test Scripts
  d.. Communication Plan
  e.. Education & Training Plan
Role 
The Project Manager is the primary contact for the project, accountable for the 
entire project lifecycle from planning to closure, and responsible for 
accomplishing the stated project scope. 

Project Leadership 

  1.. Provide leadership, oversight, facilitation and support to ensure the 
ITSM Project's objectives are achieved and interdependencies are managed.  
Project Planning 

  2.. Manage definition of the project scope. 
  3.. Finalize project structure.
  4.. Create clear project objectives and measurable success factors in 
collaboration with the Team Members. 
  5.. Develop the work plan and schedule in collaboration with the Team 
Members. 
  6.. Estimate the cost and timing of the project. 
  7.. Ensure adherence to the department's Project Management Methodology 
including:  
    1.. Create and obtain sign-off on the Project Definition Document.
    2.. Create and obtain approval of the project work plan, communication 
plan, and all other required project planning documents.
Project Communication 

  1.. Monitor and report on project progress to Sponsor, Team Members and Key 
Stakeholders. 
  2.. Manage Key Stakeholder's expectations in collaboration with the Sponsors. 
Communicate expectations, risk, and changes to the Key Stakeholders. 
  3.. Schedule and lead Key Stakeholders update meetings.
Project Sub-Team Leadership 

  4.. Act as Business Process Team lead.
    1.. Work with Process Owners to standardize process implementation across 
processes.
    2.. Coordinate Business Process Team activities.
    3.. Lead Business Process Team meetings.
    4.. Proactively address cross process issues and work with Business Process 
Team to define solutions.
2.      Act as Testing Team lead. 

    1.. Provide direction and support for Testing Team. 
    2.. Work with Technical Design and Business Process Teams to finalize test 
plans to include resource needs, timing, place to record technical and process 
errors for remediation, etc.
    3.. Accept feedback from Testing Team and determine which items need to be 
reported as technical or process remediation or training or communication 
issues / concerns.  
    4.. Work with Business Process Team and Development Team to assign process 
or technical remediation issues.  
    5.. Identify and assign training or communication issues.  
    6.. Monitor and report on progress. 
3.      Act as Implementation Lead 

    1.. Obtain final go/no-go decision from project Sponsors.
    2.. Work with the Development Lead to define and gain agreement for 
Operational Level Agreement.  
    3.. Work with Development Lead, Business Process Team,  Testing Team, and 
Training Specialist to create implementation plan.
    4.. Coordinate execution of implementation plan.
    5.. Ensure a smooth production business operational turnover from the 
project to normal operations.
