1. Assist in the design and development of dimensional data model and
metadata layer with OBIEE for Long Term Care/Acute Care (LTC/AC)

*Indiana State Department of Health – Acute Care Division* is looking for an
OBIEE
Data modeler / Developer position for OBIEE. The primary responsibilities of
the OBIEE data
model /developer will be to address data modeling from a physical layer to
presentation layer
prospective, create dash boards and reports for the Acute Care division in
OBIEE.
*Essential Functions: *
- Work closely with the business analyst and technical team members to
gather the requirements in regard to creating the data model.
- Design and development of dimensional data model within OBIEE,
coordinating with Acute Care DBA, developers and program business analyst.
- Work closely with the business analyst and technical team members to
gather the requirements and design of dashboards and reports as per program
specifications to support the related strategic initiatives for Acute Care
division.
- Developer will design, develop, and implement reports using Acute Care
data model in conjunction with business intelligence solutions created at
ISDH using OBIEE.
- Knowledge transfer/train Acute Care developer team/resource how to
build effective/efficient dashboards if time permits during the development
phase of reports using OBIEE tool.
*Requirements:*
- Proficient in enterprise data architecture and business intelligence
solutions, coupled with solid team-oriented experience.
- Strong hand on experience in the analysis of database design and
creating data models from start to finish, with 3 years experience,
required.
- Previous work experience in large enterprise projects and in creating
data models from physical layer to presentation individually.
- Hands-on experience with OBIEE in development of dashboard, drill down,
complex filter and matrix reports (minimum 3 years experience is required).
- Knowledge of GIS maps (ESRI) integration within OBIEE and the design of
reports.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of Oracle's reporting, publishing
and data analysis tools
- Strong core experience in designing and publishing data marts to
support business process analysis.
- Experience with Oracle Warehouse Builder and concepts such as ETL (ODI)
process, metadata layers, cube organization of data and dimensions.
- Experience in the integration of OBIEE within web applications in .net
and web applications is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Server and Web Client technologies, and how they work
together.
- Good working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.
- Ability to proactively look at new and innovative solutions that may
improve user experience while increasing performance and scalability.
- Strong database and RDBMS, ORACLE experience, including ability to
construct SQL queries.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team
environment.
- B.S. in Computer Science or related, MS is preferred.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems and software is preferred.
