SAP BW Lead
Duration:6 months
Rate:open+expenses
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Summary: Company is transitioning from BO for reporting to Microsoft BI and
the individual that is going to head this up is their internal BW Lead. Thus
they need a backfill for this transition ASAP. They need someone that can
stand on their own after being brought up to speed on their internal
operations.
Required:
Up-to-date experience with SAP BW 7.0/7.1
Expert level understanding of BW extractors from ECC and the complete flow
of data from DataSource to InfoProvider.
- Extractions: Creating custom extractors, expanding content
extractors, designing delta processes
- DSO: Designing, optimizing, defining indexes
- Transformations: familiarity with start, end, and expert routines.
Utilization of formula and routine transformation rules. Also understanding
of best practices and when each is appropriate.
- DTP: Packet size optimization, filters
- Infocubes: Optimizing dimension size, compression, aggregates,
logical partitioning, line item dimensions and when to use them
- Creating custom BEx variables
Experience designing and optimizing process chains
Pluses:
Experience with inventory architecture/extractors
Experience with COPA architecture/extractors
Experience assisting in Support Pack application
Experience implementing Hierarchies
Business Objects familiarity
