Job Title: VMware Administrator Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 6 Months * * Skills Required: 6 - 8 year experience working with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Citrix and VMware technologies on large enterprises. Experience with Active Directory and group policies Experience with enterprise-class server hardware including HP, SUN, Dell, and IBM Knowledge of SAN Storage particularly EMC and NetApp storage Job Description: 1. MCSE (on Windows 2003 or 2008), VCP (on ESX 4.0 vSphere) with good knowledge of Windows Operating System (Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and 2008), Active Directory (AD), Citrix, VMware ESX 4.0 2. Tech lead handling L3 tickets 3. Incident management and preparation of RCA report. 4. Problem management. 5. Implementing short / long term plan. 6. Monitoring overall functioning of process and identify improvement areas. 7. Provide all necessary updating on operations as well as on primary task done by Tier 3 resource. 8. Actively participate in service improvement plans. 9. Act on Day to Day House keeping tasks by using tools & scripts 10. To able to attend calls on calls basis whenever assigned 11. Work with Change & Problem Management Tools 12. Operational experience for large scale virtualization environment, using vCentre for day to day management. 13. Performance Analysis and Tuning/Optimization Operations 14. Virtual machine creation, cloning, configurations 15. Strong experience with VMware HA/DRS, Update Manager, Site Recovery Manager - Must 16.
