Job Title: BMC Patrol Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 6 months *Job Description:* *Responsibilities * Engineer will be responsible for executing installation, configuration, testing, support and documentation. Candidate will be expected to understand the Enterprise Systems Management suite of products and be able to effectively deploy and manage their utilization. In addition, as other monitoring/alerting tools are introduced into the environment the candidate will be required to make recommendations as to how to integrate and support those tools. Participate periodic upgrades to the Systems Monitoring Strategy, systems monitoring hardware and software enhancements. Assist in preparation of proposals, reports, architectures, designs, specifications, and operational documentation. *Position Requirements:* 3-5 years recent and continuous experience in the installation, management, and support of an Enterprise Monitoring Technologies product such as BMC BPM/TMART; Configure BEM and BPPM Excellent working knowledge/expertise in following areas with a minimum of three to six years of system engineering experience with a solid foundation of two of the remaining skills: - Operating Systems: UNIX (AIX 5.x & higher) MS/Intel (2k and higher), Linux RH3.x, z/OS, Solaris 9.x - Scripting Languages: (Perl, UNIX Shell Scripting bsh, ksh, csh, Javascript) - Network Management: (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, Firewalls, HTTPS, FTP, Telnet).
