Job Title: Storage Architect Location: Webster, NY Duration: 12 months / C2C / Permanent *Description of Skills, Education & Experience:* · Technical depth in open systems is essential. · Test new storage architectures and document results. · Experience in the mainframe area is a bonus. · Co-ordinates the installation of the company’s storage products and assists with Systems Assurance and co-ordination of Customer Education necessary for the install of EMC, Hitachi, IBM, Netbackup or other similar type products. · Design, implement, manage, monitor, and administrate enterprise backup environment · Design, implement, manage, monitor, and administrate SAN, including Fabric switches, Disk Tape Libraries, and associated technologies. · Monitor and modify all data storage on an ongoing basis ensuring sufficient capacity, performance and throughput to meet demand, availability and SLA requirements. · Assists in Software Support and Problem Determination as required. · Directs and conducts major studies of customer requirements necessitating a high degree of analytical ability. · Provides training to Sales, Marketing, and offshore personnel in specific areas of expertise. · Maintains knowledge of target market computer systems, the company’s storage products, competitive products, industry trends, and the company’s Storage marketing practices. · Maintains knowledge on conversion, performance, capacity planning, configuration planning, use of quantitative and other methods, and necessary in the sales support of the company’s storage products. · May require the same level of knowledge for other related products forming part of the proposed company’s storage solution. · Maintains knowledge on the use and application of the company’s pre-sales technical tools used to understand and report on customer requirements and the use of the company’s storage products in customer environments. · Is expected to demonstrate high competence in technical, business and communication skills. · Excellent interpersonal skills required. · Must have a high degree of proficiency in technical writing skills. · Works with customers and prospects in a highly professional and polished manner, as well as customer service representatives, sales, service and product management. · Is expected to work with other Storage Architects providing mentoring as required. · Is expected to be competent and knowledgeable of the company’s business partners and other professionals as it relates to the company’s business solutions. · Is expected to provide communication to senior management both internal and external to the company, including customers as it relates to the company’s business. · Develops value added functions such as white papers, sales tools (e.g. models), industry presentations etc. in their area of expertise. · May be required to work with industry professional groups and/or develop a particular specialized area of expertise which will enhance the company sales and marketing efforts and optimize its customer’s storage architecture · May be required to communicate on those areas of expertise with product marketing or engineering groups. · Assists product marketing in the development of marketing strategies to more effectively market the company’s storage products. · Develops and maintains relationships with Corporate Storage Architect group to ensure accurate information on specific topics, e.g. Beta Tests. · Advises senior management on various product and systems related issues as well as customer oriented trends and concerns. · Bachelor degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience. · Technical college and 6 years experience. · Will require occasional travel · The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned, and are not necessarily all inclusive Thanks & Regards, Satyam Reddy EZEN Computer Services Inc, “Leading by Innovative Thoughts" Tel: 609-945-1186 || Fax: 609-452-5613 [email protected] || www.e-zencomp.com Pleasure in the Job puts Perfection in the Work... * <http://www.e-zencomp.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT provider" group.
