Job Title          :           Project Manager

Location          :           Bethpage, NY

Duration          :           6 Months



1.  A minimum of six years of hands on Information Technology Project
Management, including management of data warehouse projects

2.  Telecommunications / media *business* Ad Sales experience is required

3.  Hands on experience with *Business* *Intelligence*

4.  A strong working knowledge of Cognos reporting platform and
deployment required

5.  Skilled at applying structured Program / Project Life Cycle methodology

6.  The Program Manager will perform his / her duties via a matrix
organization approach where a Technology Manager will provide work
assignment direction and the Project Management Office (PMO) will provide
process and procedure support and guidance.

7.  Ability to define and document all required project and program level
tasks

8.  Capable of coordinating work activities over multiple organizations
(including vendors)

9.  Ability to control and direct work over multiple, regional, geographic
locations

10.  Excellent verbal & written communications skills

11.  Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision both individually
and in a team setting

12.  Highly organized and detail oriented

13.  Perform multiple tasks and adjust priority based on workload or
direction from management or customer

14.  Experience in leading Program teams consisting of skills that include
a Cube Analyst, Warehouse administrator, *Business* Analyst, and several
subordinate project Project Managers

15.  Experience in the use of the MS Office tool suite and MS Project
working with sub-projects and linked projects is required.  Experience with
CA’s Clarity Tool would be a plus

16.  Experience with multiple server hardware platforms and middle-tier and
storage systems and software

17.  Experience with Software development life cycles

18.  Project Management Institute’s PMP credential is preferred

* *Assume all responsibilities associated with managing programs and
projects as assigned.   This specifically includes the management one or
more work streams (a.k.a. Work Packages or Swim-lanes) within a sizable
project or Program (a group of like projects designed to satisfy a single
objective). The Program Manager will solicit, combine and aggregate program
progress information from subordinate project's managers as a single point
of reporting for the Program's overall health, to include deliverables,
cost, schedule, risks and issues, to the program's sponsor / client.
 Program reporting information will be delivered is three primary sections
as follows:

1.  Status - cum to date accomplishments

2.  Performance - progress as measured against the baseline

3.  Forecast - projection at project completion.

1.  This responsibility consists of many specific and defined work package
elements, including: all overall program planning, project and program
level monitoring and controls including Statement of Work (SOW), Work
Breakdown Structures (WBS), Requirements Planning, the identification and
management of inter and intra-project dependencies, Communications Plans,
Risk Plans, Cost Expenditure Plans, Issues Tracking, Status reporting and
their applicable administration efforts, i.e. scheduling meetings,
recording minutes, etc.



At a minimum, the administrative tasks will include:

1.  Define, develop and control the program’s master schedule

2.  Coordinate, conduct and provide minutes for regular weekly Core Project
Team status meetings

3.  Define, control and report on all project related issues

4.  Define, develop, control and provide monthly reports concerned with the
program’s budget via detailed work stream reports and aggregated program
financial summaries

5.  Define, develop, control and provide monthly Project Risk Management
Plans

6.  Develop and distribute weekly project and allover program Status Reports

7.  The preparation and presentation of regular executive level progress,
status and forecast positions

8.  Serve as the primary point of contact for all Client disciplines
effected by the assigned projects within the program



1.  Establish, lead and control a cross-functional program team

2.  Ensure establishment / validation of Production Monitoring and support
tools and processes prior to any production deployment

3.  System and Operational Support Training planning as required

4.  Validation of SOX compliancy for all application deployment processes,
including the preparation and presentation of Client’s Production Review
Board (PRB) gating milestone approval

5.  Planning and coordination of all test related activities to include,
unit, integration, system, regression, performance, User Acceptance
Testing, etc.
