The only contract position that is currently open is this Sr. Citrix Engineer in Dallas, TX Must be local to Dallas/Ft. Worth and this will be a 6 Month Contract. Sr Citrix Engineer reports to the Director of Application Architecture & Delivery and is responsible for maintaining Citrix systems to ensure reliability and optimization to the business and its customers. Responsibilities include systems design, implementation, solution research and troubleshooting of complex issues within the context of Citrix XenApp/XenServer environments. Work to standardize and automate repeatable tasks and steps across multiple accounts while providing coaching and mentoring to more junior team members. The Sr. Citrix Engineer will also be responsible for providing technical leadership for strategic projects and initiatives on the Citrix roadmap. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Researches, recommends, and implements changes to applications and systems Ensures stability and performance of Citrix Servers Ensure the management of implementations of new Servers and OS releases and updates Perform time-management and multi-tasking activities, balancing daily project work while simultaneously supporting existing applications Must be self-motivated, independent and resourceful Must have the capacity to be decisive and flexible Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills Possess superior communications skills verbally and written Must gain complete understanding of Citrix Farm. Required Skills JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Windows Server Administration (Win 2003/2008) Active Directory Server Clustering Programming and Scripting LanDesk Patch Management Server Security All candidates must be able to quantify their knowledge/skill in the following: Experience in Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 and above Advanced Configuration of WS2K3 / WS2K8 Management of Users & Groups within Active Directory Intermediate administration skills, including understanding of Protocols (TCP), Firewalls, Terminal Services policies & profiles, Creating and Managing Shares Experience with Access Management & Presentation Server Console Able to Install, Publish, and Administer applications Able to Configure & Support Printing Managing Citrix Policies Strong background in server virtualization using VMWare.
