Job Title : Oracle Apps DBA
Location : Pittsburg, PA
Duration : 1 Year
The Application Performance Analysts will analyze performance related data
from
Oracle databases, such as AWR reports, and provide recommendations to
improve
the efficiency of the applications.
Responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing day-to-day functions and processes of operating systems,
application
software and database resources to ensure they are performing within
predetermined guidelines, limits, and specifications
- Preparing and delivering reports, recommendations, or alternatives
that address
existing and potential trouble areas related to the performance of a
large ERP implementation
- Selecting, configuring, and maintaining performance monitoring and
tuning tools
Candidates must be experienced in:
- identifying problematic SQL and tuning the same
- analyzing explain plans and tuning methodologies
- building extensions in Oracle E-business Suite and concurrent programs
Preferred candidate would also have experience in Oracle SOA, OBIEE, and
Hyperion.

ideas and listen
effectively
- Self-starter who demonstrates excellent time management &
organizational skills
including the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize multiple,
concurrent work activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with
customers and
peers
Technical Skills Required:
- Advanced SQL tuning skills
- Advanced Oracle database tuning skills
- Significant experience with Oracle E-Business Suite verision 11.5.10+
- Experience with UNIX operating systems
- Experience with AWR reports
- Advanced project management skills including the ability to lead
global projects
Additional Skills/Qualities not required but would be a plus:
- Experience with Oracle SOA, OBIEE, and Hyperion
- Experience with AIX and Red Hat preferred
- Experience supporting server environments for Oracle databases,
including e-Business
