The Systems Network Architect is an expert in evaluation, design, implementation, and documentation of network, VPN, internetworking solutions in alignment with business needs. Also responsible for identifying and tasking Systems network engineers to reduce unplanned outages and retire obsolete hardware. The Systems Network Architect mentors system network engineers. Systems Network Architect develops presentations, training materials, and detailed configuration standards to align the team. *Principal Responsibilities * · Researching and recommending network security solutions, design, development, integration, testing, implementation and operational support of LAN, WAN, WLAN, Cloud Computing and Network Security focused infrastructure projects. Projects include coordinating, configuring, designing and troubleshooting of multi-vendor network security devices, cabling systems, intelligent hubs, bridges, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN (client & net-to-net), load balancers, content filter, network acceleration and other network related instrumentation.Evaluating the vulnerabilities and security of network tools, solutions and emerging technologies aligning with the business and IT strategic requirements. Configuration recommendation of security devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, web content filters, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the desired security posture is attained and maintained. · Providing network security support and solution in the design, integration, deployment, and troubleshooting of enterprise implementations. · Representing the Network Engineering and reviewing, evaluating and approving of network infrastructure security change requests. · Providing Incident troubleshooting on network security related issues and responsible for Problem Management coordination by interacting with network engineers as well as other technology support personnel to help solve enterprise level LAN, WAN, WLAN, Cloud and Internet security problems. Partnering with outside network security vendors to resolve problems or issues, as well as access products and service capabilities. · Compiling operational information and data necessary to complete system security plans (SSP). Review and determine the policies on the deployed solutions are effective, relevant, updated and analyze the risk of the policy and recommend possible changes. · Conducting research, development, business assessment of different new emerging security products, market trends and industry knowledge. Initiating PoC, Pilot and preparing white papers and documentation on PoC results, recommendations and operational aspects of security. · Implementing of security framework, best practices and standards globally, and responsible on the creation of near & long term roadmap and strategy aligning to the business initiatives and changes. · Maintaining security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training to network engineers. · Monitor, manage and troubleshoot VoIP, disaster recovery and · Work cooperatively with the IMS team for ongoing issues and collaboration on new projects. · Troubleshoot, assist users, and resolve hardware, services, messaging, and software problems at local and remote locations. · Maintains technical expertise consistent with changes in technology and company needs · Act as a technical contact point with vendors, as appropriate, both technical and administrative issues. · Responsible for maintenance and update of all Network Management/Monitoring tools * * *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)* · Bachelors degree or recognized equivalent, preferably in Computer Science or related field, from an accredited university.
