*Title: Infrastructure Engineer * *Duration: 6+ months* *Position Type: Contract* *Location: Metairie, LA* *Rate: $50/hr. Corp-Corp* The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for provisioning, maintaining and upgrading the RTS LA infrastructure for both production and nonproduction environments across multiple locations within LA. The primary focus will be managing the development, customization and integration of the application development infrastructure, the POS infrastructure and third party application(s) in support of the RTS LA ERT, Driver’s License, IRP products and other applications as required. This position will require continuous interaction with the software development, operations management and end users. *PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES* *Essential Functions: 90%* Configure, Customize and Administer all aspects of the Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure including installation, configuration, capacity planning, patching and incident resolution. Monitor and tune Microsoft Windows Server configurations to maintain optimal performance and resource consumption Configure, Customize and Administer Active Directory OU uses and system objects Configure, Customize and Administer application servers including IIS, Apache, Tomcat and Jboss Assist in all aspects of the Linux Server including installation, configuration, capacity planning, patching and incident resolution. Develop scripts and programs in support of all aspects of application and systems management using WSH, Vbscript, PowerShell, Perl, PHP, Python, WSH, SQL, HTML, XML, Visual Basic Provide on-call support to resolve and/or escalate production incidents or issues after normal working hours. *Non-Essential Functions: 10%* Provide afterhours release and change control support based on the most current change control schedules Produce update and/or endorse Microsoft Windows Server standards, guidelines and procedures Review, evaluate and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies *REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS* Provide minimum Educational and Experience required; Describe 2-3 core areas of functional or professional knowledge required in the position and at least 2-3 soft skills (e.g. communication, leadership, organizational). List the minimum requirements for success in the position; be specific (e.g. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel; Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities) *Experience:* 3-5 yrs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
