Communication and professionalism is a must. This individual will have
face to face interaction with outside customers.
The project maintains a test laboratory, a simulation tool set, and
comprehensive staff to assist with validation of this system deployment.
*The Test Script Writer will:*
Create test scripts using a simulation tool set.
Support and be a member of the Test team that defines and plans test cases.
Provide procedures defining the steps to verify operations of software
developed by other vendors.
Create new test scripts and modify existing scripts to support the evolving
software under test provided in multiple releases.
Become the technical expert in operation of the simulator tool set and the
laboratory test environment.
Receive direction from the Test team and contribute to discussions of
recommended improvements to the evolving simulator tools.
Support standalone segment and nearest neighbor integration testing in the
lab environment.
*Required Experience:*
3-5 years of test script writing experience, preferably on embedded systems.
Experience testing message-based distributed systems, as the software under
test is part of an embedded system without a user interface.
Ability to interpret system specifications, test plans, and test procedures
and translate them into test scripts used to validate portions of a
complex, message-based, distributed system.
Ability to modify existing test scripts to adapt them to portions of the
system developed by multiple vendors.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic changes from
both internal and external customers.
*Desired Experience:*
Prior experience working in the transportation industry.
*Educational Requirements:*
Typically requires a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree.
