*Title: QA TEST ANALYST (WITH TELECOM EXPERIENCE)* *Location: Rochester, NY* *Start Date: ASAP* *Duration: 6 months+* *Project: * Our Client is a Fortune 500 communications service provider that has grown through acquisitions over the past several years. They are in need of 5 QA Test Analysts to support testing of their Commercial 3.3 and 3.4 Project. In this position you’ll be responsible for the successful testing of software releases for projects to be implemented into the production environment. You will provide centralized testing support for key Client business functions for the Commercial Project which includes customer care, quoting, sales, billing and ordering. Your responsibilities include planning, documentation and communication of test plans, test results, testing status and metrics. In this role you’ll be the gatekeeper to the production systems and own all the phases, deliverables and milestones of testing and the management of the testing activities within the development project. Testing estimates and schedules will be part of your responsibilities as well as the management of risks associated with testing. You will coordinate with other IT functions to ensure development projects are supported start-to-finish and evaluated according to schedule. REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 5 years of testing experience. • Experience with Testing Software – HP ALM, TFS or equivalent. • Understanding of various operating systems and software applications / platforms such as Windows, UNIX, Linux with different types of applications running on MS .NET, Java and related web application framework. • Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise documentation. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Testing Methodologies. • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team.
