*General Position Summary**:*

Participates in the creation and evolution of business architecture.
Participates in strategic business analysis which includes RFI and RFP
development, business case and cost benefit analysis development,
feasibility studies and the design and execution of proof of concepts.
Responsible for participating in or in some cases leading business analysis
efforts on strategic business projects characterized as having a high
degree of technical and political sophistication. Responsible for mentoring
of Junior BA’s and BA’s. Proficient with complex and commonly-used
concepts, practices, and procedures within the business analysis field.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works
independently. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of
creativity and latitude is expected.



*Project Business Analysis*

·                      *Requirements Planning* – Completes stakeholder
analysis.  Defines requirements scope and develops a formal requirements
plan for the project detailing the business analysis workstreams/work break
down structure, artifact inventory, hour estimates, methods for gather, and
BA skill sets needed.

·                      *Process Definition and Requirements Development* –
Plans and conducts process re-design and/or requirement gathering
sessions.  Uses interviewing and facilitation skills to elicit requirements
from business stakeholders.  Authors requirements documents and employs
various business analysis techniques in their creation.  Examples include
but are not limited to current and future state process models, context
diagrams, business rules, use cases, user stories and entity relationship
diagrams.  Ultimately the designs will transform or change business
practices, workflows, and systems.  Develops creative solutions to business
problems.  Follows a logical process and presents cost/benefit data and
alternative solutions in a way that enables decision making.  Schedules and
facilitates requirements walk through meetings with business and IT staff.
Resolves requirement issues and updates documentation.  Secures all
necessary sign offs.

·                      *Requirements Management* – Responsible for planning
and leading the business analysis effort on the projects they are assigned
to. If other business analyst resources are assigned someone in the
Enterprise Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst position will be
assigned as the lead. When assigned to the lead role this individual will
plan and manage the work of the business analyst team on the effort. Acts
as a steward of the project scope by managing requirements to what business
stakeholders signed off. If adjustments are made, adheres to proper change
control procedures. Creates and maintains traceability matrix. Partners
with quality assurance (testing) resources. Identifies and documents
testing considerations and reviews and approves test plan, test cases and
test results. If defects result, negotiates with the business to resolve
the defect. Takes ownership to ensure all business analysis documentation
is updated accordingly.

·                      15% Strategic Business Analysis

·                      Contributes to the development and evolution of
business architecture based on business roadmap.

·                      Contributes to the development of business cases and
cost benefit analysis (CBA).

·                      Works with business leadership to develop business
idea documents, complexity score and initial cost benefit analysis for
ideas to be considered for the Enterprise Project Portfolio.

·                      Assist with the RFI and RFP development.

·                      Assists with feasibility studies.

·                      Contributes to the development and execution of
proof of concepts (POC) as necessary.

·                      Additional duties as assigned.
