I have *Symantec Netbackup Administrator *for my direct client requirement, please send me matching resume with contact details and expected billing rates ASAP. *Below are the job description: * *Role: Symantec Netbackup Administrator* *Location: Mountain View, CA* *Exp in years: 5 to 7* *No of Positions: 3* *Pls fill the Skill Matrix:* Total years of IT experience: Years of experience in Netbackup software, NBU master/media servers and client software is must: Years of experience in Netbackup appliances: Years of experience in VMware and Netbackup integration Years of experience in Experience with Netbackup Application and Database agents (primarily Oracle): Years of experience in performance, tuning and capacity planning: Years of experience with proactive monitoring, dashboards, reporting and automation: *JD:* • Configure all aspects of the backup infrastructure including disk/tape topologies as directed in various configurations using knowledge of backup concepts • Responsible for backup and recovery methodologies and application of these methodologies including retention, reclamation, and disaster recovery. • Manage, configure and maintain multi-PB multi-tiered environment. • Respond to, diagnose and remediate issues in a dynamic environment. • Report on performance and capacities and make allocation recommendations based on trending. • Participate in capacity planning and performance discussions and assist in development and execution of disaster recovery exercises. • Responsible for maintaining current microcode and software component levels. • 24x7 Tier 3 support and on-call support responsibilities. *Experience:* • 8+ years of working Experience managing Netbackup software, NBU master/media servers and client software is must • Must have experience / working knowledge of Netbackup appliances. • Knowledge of SAN fabric, tape drives, tape libraries, Deduplication, disk storage and VTL's (virtual tape libraries). • Network knowledge, including bandwidth, NIC configuration, CIFS, NFS, and NDMP is required. • Operating systems knowledge, including Windows, Linux and AIX is required.
