Please let me know if you have any available resources to [email protected] *Role: DataStage Developer* *Duration: 9 months* *Location: Loveland, OH* *Rate: $48/hr all inclusive* A minimum of 5+ years architectural and software engineering development experience utilizing Oracle RDBMS (10g) and IBM’s DataStage (formerly Ascential) (or ETL equivalent), is required. •Experience in a decision support/data warehousing/Business Intelligence environment •Extensive experience in complete life cycle of DW projects and able to provide end to end solutions •Experience and understanding with Data Modeling (powerdesigner/ERWIN tool preferred) • Experience with Unix platform and SQL programming (DataStage running on Unix platform) •Experience with Unix scripting preferred (Korn shell, chron tab scheduler) Strong skill required in Data Warehouse Concepts, ETL tools, Data Modeling areas. Job Description : •Detailed understanding of a Data Warehouse architectural frameworks and methodologies and applies within customer implementation projects. •Developer should be in position to support various EDT processes, strong in DataStage and oracle •Must understand ETL mapping and reverse engineering DataStage programs and oracle packages. •should be good at doing production support and communication of issues to client. •Should participate in timely root cause analysis •Should be able to configure DataStage software on the server, write shell scripts and modify as necessary. •Participates in requirements gathering and design sessions and helps create robust application designs. •Participates in customer meetings and able to provide innovative recommendations/solutions pertaining to Data Warehouse environment(s) based on business rules. •Validate the feasibility of Business and Business Requirements •Provide high level estimates for projects and enhancements •Collaborate to create technical roadmap for data warehouse •Make a concrete impaction quality improvements, identifying the problem pattern •Should have ability to dive deep and should be hands on at times to resolve technical issues •Establishes quality standards for the team to meet the requirements Participates in the overall solution testing. •Create and executes test cases for the core application, application processing logic, extensibility, user interfaces, and integrations. •Reports own progress towards project goals as required by project manager/lead.
