No heads down coders Below is the Software Engineer job description. We need 2 contractors for 6-12 months (work in 6 mos increments). One has possibility for contract to hire. We are working with my neighbor and friend from KSU. She is handling it all. It is exclusive. Need one SENIOR Stud, and one mid-level developer. The Software Engineer will be responsible planning, processing and performing all tasks in an efficient manner with no assistance from the supervisor. The Software Engineer will serve in a leadership capacity for carrying out full life cycle software development in C, C++, C# languages or other selected languages for new products and/or applications. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES* • Decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks and implement reliable algorithmic solutions utilizing sound problem solving techniques • Develop and execute unit and regression tests for hardware and software based on functional specifications • Analyze, design, coordinate and supervise the development of software systems to form a basis for the solution of information processing problems. • Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming. • Document code throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level. • Perform unit and integration testing using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and/or logic analyzers to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate. • Responsible for communicating with engineers and manufacturer’s technical support staff regarding programming needs and performance. • Design and/or review architected modules and software systems supporting new technology or improving capability/performance of existing functionality. • Responding promptly and professionally to defect reports, providing assistance to testers and support personnel as required • Review, to the extent possible, changes in code and the environment that will affect system performance. • Participate in project leadership and/or program planning including providing technical input to product development plans and concept documents • Work closely with management team in evaluating current systems and participate in development of long range planning for new projects and facilities, using good judgment in setting schedules and risk mitigation • Provide recommendations to management concerning issues of programmer productivity and software development management. • Exemplify Rhythm Engineering’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy and proactively work to improve company’s image and culture *REQUIRED SKILLS* • Strong technical skills and experience with Visual Studio, IAR, CodeWarrior and GNU development tool chain – C/C++/C# programming skills • Proficiency developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in mixed-environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows • Demonstrable knowledge and experience developing embedded solutions throughout entire product life cycle in an embedded Linux environment • Ability to map algorithms into an efficient software/firmware implementation • Experience with both traditional and Agile software development methodologies • Experience in Mobile application development, especially responsive UI design and development • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely • Self-motivated and proactive • Possess excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment • Ability to construct written proposals or papers • Proficiency in developing graphical user interfaces using various 3rd party libraries such as MFC, WPF, Qt or OpenGL • Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff *EXPERIENCE* • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer; demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks • 3+ years of experience as an embedded software engineer, including driver development • Experience writing and troubleshooting drivers of I2C, SPI and other serial protocols *Thanks* *Adam* *201-497-1010 X 103* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT provider" group.
