*Role : Senior Health Data Analyst / SAS Programmer* *Duration : 6 months contract to hire* *Location: Ontario, CA * *Local candidates preferred. * *H1b Copy Must !!* *Job Description :* *Overview:* The Senior Data Analyst position is responsible for providing critical analytical support to the Quality Improvement Department. The Senior Analyst assists the in coordination, collection, interpretation and analysis of data. This employee will also work with other QI Projects to develop and produce reports that monitor and benchmark quality and performance indicators; monitor for adverse trends; recommend modifications and corrective action; assist quality improvement project teams in design and implementation. *Qualifications:* Advanced SAS skills are very important Healthcare background is very helpful Must have SAS programming/coding from scratch SQL (can run and modify the program) Mix of both programming (70%) and analyst work Must be a Certified Advanced SAS Programmer credential .Net coding from scratch is nice to have No ETL needed *Responsibilities*: Conducts independent analysis of high complexity under minimal supervision and guidance. Develops innovative analyses and reports using HEDIS/ STARS data, clinical data and other healthcare data. Develops analytical methods so that they may be subsequently delegated for production to analyst at lower levels. Produces analysis of high complexity under the guidance and direction of supervisor or manager to support Quality Improvement. Communicates analytical results in presentations, abstracts, graphs or summaries with minor editing and input from supervisor or manager. Designs, builds, and enhances data systems and analysis methods so that they better serve complex, high level reporting requirements. Designs, implements, and manages complex data structures and analysis systems. Creates system QA processes and documentation. Work with complex healthcare data to test the feasibility of implementing new physician and hospital quality measures for performance incentive and reporting programs Analyze healthcare quality and utilization data to identify best practices, care delivery trends and clinical practice variation within hospital, provider group and individual physicians Seeks and provides advice to analysts in other departments and business units regarding standardization of business rules and methods for analysis and reporting.
