Technical Business Analyst @ New York City. A Client On-Boarding data technology team focusing on building a strategic client Legal Entity data platform is looking for an individual to fulfill a technical analyst role working in a fast-paced environment. The individual will be working with operational and technology users focusing on requirement gathering surrounding the build out of this strategic platform. Main Function The Client On-Boarding Technology Business Analyst will be performing analysis efforts to streamline the client on-boarding, maintenance and off-boarding processes within Capital Markets. The role will be responsible for the creation of business and functional requirements for the Client On-Boarding program. They will be working with key business and operations partners to understand the business process and effectively translate that into requirements and functional specs. This person will also interface with other technology teams to integrate with existing and emerging bank technologies. Main Duties Prepare Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents in accordance with standard SDLC business practices. Perform all levels of data analysis, including data mappings, data feeds, data modelling (both relational and message), and data transformation as related to an Enterprise Environment. Advise on data model usage. Provide consultative expertise related to business practices, procedures, requirements, risk management and process improvements. Liaise with technology team to plan and execute requirements. Provide a % of technology production support. (Client Domain SME) Personal Requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management or related discipline or equivalent experience 5+ years experience in business analysis / project management role at an investment bank. 3+ years Deep Client Lifecycle domain knowledge (client onboarding, maintenance and off-boarding) business analysis and / or technical knowledge. 5+ years experience developing Functional, Business, and Technical requirements. 3+ years experience of working on Enterprise wide Client Lifecycle Systems. 3+ years MS Excel and Access experience with emphasis on data comparison. 1+ years Data Modelling experience. DocuSign eSignature experience a plus Preferred Qualifications: Able to deliver good quality and accurate requirements to tight time-scales. Able to multi-task effectively. Comfortable with changing priorities and requirements. Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with other team members and business representatives. Able to participate in a culture of "knowledge sharing within the development team. Client Life Cycle domain expertise across Equities/Fixed Income/Derivative asset classes. Strong hands on SQL data query knowledge. Ability to derive data models through requirements gathering with developers and end users. Solid understanding of relational databases.
