*Position: Workday Finance Specialist*

*Location: Chicago, IL OR Wake Forest, NC*

*Duration: 6+months*



Reports to:  Director, Financial Applications

Position Summary

Workday Finance Specialist, ERP leads an execution of administrative
processes and maintenance duties of Tribune Media Workday SaaS application
and provides ongoing support for data interfaces between Workday and other
applications. The candidate will be instrumental in managing key elements
of our Workday implementation, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to
interfaces, performance, capacity management or complex environment
configuration.



This person will work in IT administrative role as well as within project
teams, primarily working with different implementation teams managing
different environments. The Finance Specialist will track new features in
Workday Update releases, and understand impact to Tribune Media
environment. Additionally, this position will require as an administrator
to develop and step through test scripts to evaluate new releases of
Workday, and determine impact to Tribune Media.  This position involves
selecting and recommending tools and solutions that work with Workday
ecosystem that meet Tribune Media enterprise needs, and reviewing
performance and efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple
systems and technology so as to ensure quality product use as well as
quality project delivery that is on time and within budget.



*Primary Responsibilities*

·         Strong knowledge of on premise and SaaS architectures

·         Experience with hands-on administration and implementation of
Workday Finance

·         Experience with Workday Upgrades/New Features Management

·         Experience with Workday Reports and Workday Business Process steps

·         Working knowledge of integration tools, and Workday Studio and
methods for management of existing interfaces

·         Must collaborate with teams and prioritize and manage the
environment management for Tribune Media

·         Create roadmaps and timing of upgrades and maintenance for
Tribune Media development environment

·         Develop and document policies and procedures for business
processes

·         Document policies and procedures for Workday support tasks

·         Brings clarity and progress to topics despite being given
incomplete or conflicting requirements

·         Administrator is able to work effectively on multiple projects
concurrently, when necessary

·         Establish optimized set of tools and structures around project
and financial management



*Requirements:*

·         Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering preferred, this is a highly
technical position and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages
with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity

·         Ability to forecast by month, quarter, annual, 2 year, and long
term 5 year plans
