Title: Hadoop Administrator Location: Torrance, CA, USA Duration: 12 Months Must have 10-15 years of exp Job Description: • Big Data Administrator with 10-12 years of experience on Hadoop Cluster Setup and Upgrade using Ambari for Hadoop, Hive, HBase • 2+ yrs strong experience around managing large clusters, setting up configuring and tuning Hadoop distributions - IBM Big Insights / Hortonworks • 2+ yrs strong background in Linux administration and scripting and background of managing Java based environments. • 2+ yrs store experience in setup and monitoring of Reporting Platforms, Hadoop Platform and NoSQL Platforms • Highly proficient & Customer facing Project experience involving design, development and deployment in one of the areas mentioned above • Able to provide infrastructure recommendations, capacity planning and develop utilities to monitor cluster better • Demonstrate understanding factors that affect distributed system performance, including hardware and network considerations. • Candidate should have at least one or two projects delivered at Production Scale on above technology stacks. • Experience with cluster maintenance tasks such as creation and removal of nodes, cluster monitoring and troubleshooting. Manage and review Hadoop log files. • Experience installing and implementing security for Hadoop clusters. • Installing Hadoop Updates, patches and version upgrades. Automating the same through scripts.
