*Middleware Administrator - Two Positions* *Chevy Chase MD* *3 Months* *Rate: Open*** At least 3 years of experience in two of the following operating systems: - LINUX: Preferably Suse, Red Hat - UNIX: Preferably Solaris, AIX - Windows: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, or XP - Must have experience or in-depth knowledge of J2EE framework and applications with at least 2 years of experience in Middleware products such as JBoss, Tomcat or Websphere Application Server and Apache. - Prior experience Websphere MQ, large-scale J2EE deployments, Java programming or Software Development Life Cycle is a plus. - Should also have a basic knowledge of Unix, network protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP. - Good troubleshooting skills are a must and a college degree would be a plus. - Must have the ability and flexibility to support and manage our dynamic 7 X 24 Production J2EE Environment as well as the other testing environments Would like the person to have Shell, Perl or Jython scripting experience. 1. Install and configure JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, Websphere Application Server, Websphere MQ, and other J2EE software products and fixes on Linux/Windows/UNIX platforms. 2. Support the application development cycle – involved with Application design, deploying code, and resolving any infrastructure problems. 3. Tune J2EE Application servers to optimize performance. 4. Support production implementations and resolve any production problems, support application releases, monitor production environment, participate in production problem calls, resolve any problems related to Middleware. 5.
