*Title: Senior Unix Admin ** Employment Type:Contract 6+ months Client: Dell Perot Systems CVS City: Woonsocket, Rhode Island Status: H-1B* ** *Description:* Primary duties include supporting a project to migrate Sun Solaris applications (data base, web and application servers) to IBM AIX. *Actvities include: * * support the data collection of performance data via a predefined centralized collection methodology specified by IBM * participate in planning sessions to build LPARs and migrate applications * following build and security standards, build LPARs and support application migration activities; experience with installing/configuring Apache required * remediate any security issues uncovered by vulnerability scans (exposure to Qualys or some similar tool helpful) * document Unix configurations for hand-off to production support team Individual must possess extremely strong AIX skills and secondary strength in Solaris. Previous experience with platform migrations, or a similar challenge, is preferred.
