If not claims experience, then previous Health Insurance experience is a huge plus.* - Candidates must be available for an in person interview. - Candidates must take an online Cobol test. * * *Job Description*: *Programmer Analyst Position* - Demonstrate thorough proficiency with the programming languages, development environment and data access methods sufficient to code, maintain and modify programs of moderate-to-high complexity, as appropriate to the incumbent’s assigned team: o This includes: COBOL, JCL, IDCAMS; TSO, Abend-Aid, FileAid and XPediter; CICS, VSAM - Knowledge of SDLC - Have written communication skills sufficient to write clear specifications and documentation of IS programs and - Have oral communication skills sufficient to answer occasional questions from business user/other IS staff - The individual should have a minimum of 10+ years of programming experience in Mainframe environment *Systems Analyst Requirement* - Demonstrate thorough proficiency with the programming languages, development environment and data access methods sufficient to code, maintain and modify programs of moderate-to-high complexity, as appropriate to the incumbent’s assigned team: o This includes: COBOL, JCL, IDCAMS; TSO, Abend-Aid, FileAid and XPediter; CICS, VSAM - Strong Knowledge of SDLC - Have written communication skills sufficient to write clear specifications and documentation of IS programs and - Have oral communication skills sufficient to answer occasional questions from business user/other IS staff - Extensive working knowledge of CICS internal structures. - Excellent knowledge of COBOL applications programming - Excellent knowledge of CICS command level programming. - Excellent knowledge of VSAM - Strong knowledge of CICS system dumps, COBOL program dumps, and debugging products such as Abend-Aid. - Strong knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning for CICS and networking. - The individual should have a minimum of 10+ years of programming/analytical experience in Mainframe environment.
