I would appreciate if you give prompt response on this. *Position: WAS Admin* *Location: Woodlawn, MD* *Duration: Longterm.* We still have 3 openings supporting in Woodlawn Maryland. These will be long term on going contracts (over a year). Candidates will need to come for an onsite interview after an initial technical screen. If candidates are local we can set up a F2F right away (our CE is doing the interviewing). We’ve had good success with setting up interviews and quick movement but haven’t been able to locate the right candidates. Paperwork process only takes 1-2 days with an immediate start date to follow. Client has an immediate need for a WAS Admin to support existing work. The selected candidate will support all aspects of the CMS network infrastructure components. Specific responsibilities include: · Assist the team with WebSphere 6 and 7 installation, configuration and administration. · Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity to the Engineering and Implementation team members in interfacing program system components to network. · Perform Sun Solaris 9 and 10 administration. · Support/maintain/administer RedHat Linux 5+ administration · Writing Shell scripts · Strong knowledge of Solaris / WAS clustering · Evaluates and reports on new communication technologies to enhance capabilities of application integration and deployment strategies. Required skills · WebSphere 6 and 7 installation, configuration and administration. · Sun Solaris 9 and 10 administration. · RedHat Linux v5.x administration · Shell scripts · Solaris / WAS clustering · Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to schedule constraints. · Ability to work well in a team environment. · Ability to demonstrate effective communication and time management skills. · Solid understanding of the WebSphere middleware suite including WebSphere Portal, Extended Deployment, & ILOG/JRules. · WebSphere scripting in JACL, Jython, or Python.
