*Below is the job description for Automation Test Engineer/Developer*
This is an automation development role and it’s important that the
candidate have a good foundation of OOP ideally with JAVA - though we have
had good experience converting those with other languages.
*looking for someone that is knowledgeable of Selenium or WebDriver* *and
has coded numerous test scripts using JAVA in an Agile environment.*
Experience with automated testing of mobile apps is also a good plus.
QTP is the most common auto testing tool but these people generally do not
have OOP skills. There are also those that have Selenium or Selenium IDE
experience but again, not using OOP.
Typical backgrounds that can work for us:
1) Strong QA background with last 1 -2 years focused on automated
testing (must be with an OOP language)
2) Mix of QA & Development with solid core JAVA skills (Automation
experience & Agile are a strong plus)

Test/Automation Engineer will design, implement and maintain automated test
scripts and frameworks to support multiple eCommerce automation
initiatives. Design and develop suites of automated test scripts for both
front-end GUI's as well as backend verification of large-scale, complex
system interfaces and data sets. Must have a strong background testing
Web-based applications and a comprehensive knowledge of browsers, UI
testing techniques and OO programming concepts.
*Required:*

· 5+ years combined development & QA experience
OR
3+ years automated testing experience
· 2+ years of programming experience in any OOP Language like
Java, Ruby, Pearl, Python or C++.
· 2+ years experience with Databases and SQL.
· Strong experience with OO programming and concepts
· Good working knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, XHTML,
CSS, xPath and Javascript (jQuery)
· Knowledge of open source test automation tools
· Working knowledge of QA methodology, testing techniques and
approaches.
· Must possess sharp analytical and excellent communication skills
· Experienced in Web development, Object oriented programming and
databases.
· Ability to communicate at both business and technical levels with
the stakeholders and developers involved.
· Must be self-motivated, energetic, dependable, flexible, and
assertive.
*Preferred:*
· Selenium (RC/Grid) experience is highly preferred
· Experience working in a Agile environment preferred.
