*Project Location:* *Palo Alto,CA*
*Position: Database Architect / DBA - MySQL, Oracle*

You will be responsible for all the databases (MySQL & Oracle). You will
work with the development architects to ensure that the database is
designed for optimum performance, scalability & high availability. You
will assist the production team in monitoring the database for
availability and performance.
*Responsibilities:*
* Take ownership of MySQL and Oracle databases
* Lead the Database Design and Schema design efforts
* Tune the databases for optimal performance and scalability
* Develop methods / scripts for monitoring database capacity, usage &
performance
* Help in Stored Procedures, Query optimizations and other database
functions
* Architect the databases for high reliability
*Requirements:*
* BS / MS with at least 7 years relevant experience
* Expert level experience with database design and development in
webservice based environment
* Deep Experience with MySQL & Oracle
* Demonstrated experience in Data modeling, DB scripts, optimization
and tuning
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Good communication & interpersonal skills
* Experience in Agile development methods
*Pluses:*
* Experience with high availability, clustering, replication, Oracle RAC
* Experience in using and deploying database in large consumer websites
* Experience with data warehousing
* Experience with BI and ETL tools
* Oracle & other relevant Certifications
