*Responsibilities:*
* Keep abreast of emerging security technologies.
* Make advanced recommendations regarding implementation of emerging
security technologies based on research.
* Perform advanced analysis of security solutions and/or functionality
that had been defined by architecture.
* Ensure proof of concept testing that examines functionality and
effectiveness of various internal solutions or third party supplied
solutions is effective.
* Endeavor to use client whenever possible, and align solutions to the
client strategic vision.
* Actively participate in the product development lifecycle, provide
feedback to the brand on the use of our solutions.
* Provide service to client by supplying expert level knowledge and
acting as a Senior Level escalation point for junior staff.
* Foster the partnerships within the internal IT department to ensure
successful project implementations.
* Respond to security escalations and investigations from automated
sources (IDs, logs, etc.) and non-IT sources including internal HR,
Legal, and external requests.
* Lead forensic investigations and Computer Security Incident Response
by coordinating efforts between HR, Legal, Compliance, Global
Security, etc... Detect and Report flaws within existing security
solutions.
* For existing or future IT Security solutions, ensure proof of
concept testing is effective.
* Oversee various security solutions including but not limited to, Web
filtering technologies, proxies and firewalls, Identity Management ,
Access Control, Authentication and Authorization technologies,
Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Detection, etc... Develop and
recommend data acquisition and data analysis techniques to provide
valuable technical and executive reports to management.
* Coordinate efforts to reduce vulnerabilities, both internally and
externally, to ensure availability of systems and integrity and
confidentiality of client intellectual property.
* Ensure the appropriate level of monitoring, logging and alerting is
present in all security solutions hosted internally or externally
such that access controls are enforceable and compliant to business
requirements and/or regulations.
* Build a reputation of a Best in Class Security Team, both inside and
outside of client.
* Define security policies, procedures, guidelines and standards for
various IT Security solutions.**
