ETL Developer
Project/Role or BD Task Description and Special Notes. . .
*Project/Role:*
The ETL Developer will be part of the Decision Support team within the
foundation.
This person is expected to have excellent design & development skills to
provide database support to critical business applications.
High proficiency in SQL Server database design and development as well
as the ability to clearly articulate problem resolutions in a team
environment is desired.
This person should be comfortable working in a highly collaborative team
environment and will work as part of the project build team.
Responsibilities/Activities:
· Design and develop complex ETL queries using SSIS Package development
· Analyze complex data systems and document data elements, data flow,
relationships and dependencies, and make recommendations based on findings
· Design and develop stored procedures and views
· Perform functional and performance testing
· Ability to build data warehouse and data mart, preferably also able to
develop managed and ad hoc reports consistent with business needs

*Requirements/Qualifications:*
· 5+ years of applicable database design, development, and analysis
experience
· 5 + years' experience with SQL Server
· Knowledge of SQL Server database administration, development and
implementation (SQL Server 2008 skills required)
· Optimization of SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views
· Strong understanding of data warehousing and data mart design
principles (Kimball methodologies)
· Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) knowledge preferred
· 5+ years' experience with Microsoft SSIS
· SQL Server Analysis Services skills strong plus
· Experience with metadata-driven ETL a strong plus
· Strong skills in data modeling, database schema logical and physical
design
· Proven ability to manage concurrent and complex tasks on a regular basis.
· Multi-tasking team player with an eye for detail with excellent
follow-through and accountability for quality of work
· Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
· Understanding of test driven development and Agile methodology.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent
experience
