Title : *SAP PM* Location : *Herndon VA* Duration : *6+ Moonths* *Description :* The ‘Sr. Project Manager, SAP’ will provide Project Management for SAP Vehicle Finance and Technical (Oracle Upgrade) Projects that are included in the FITS (SAP) program. Projects will include: • SAP VF Upgrade (v4.7 to v6.0 EHP 5) • FICO, VF and HR Oracle Upgrades (to Version 11G R2) with potential support for additional SAP Module Upgrades in the future HR, FICO and Vehicle Finance are SAP System Solutions supporting VW of America and VW of Canada. In addition to the above projects, forecasted SAP (and possibly Non-SAP) Projects may also be included as an additional candidate responsibility, based upon business funding availability and contractor performance. Overall, candidate is anticipated to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a high-degree of quality. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Project Management • Create and execute project work plans; revise as-needed to meet changing needs and requirements. • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities. • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of each project and manage project scope. • Review and approve deliverables prepared by team. • Effectively apply SEP methodology and enforce VWGoA project standards. • Prepare for PQRP reviews and other quality assurance procedures. • Minimize VWGoA exposure to risk on the projects. • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. • Review the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate. • Comply with and help enforce VWGoA standard policies and procedures. 2. Project Accounting • Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis. • Manage the project budget for each project. • Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, and monitor payables for each project. 3. Financial Management • Understand cost-to-completion projections and make decisions accordingly. • Assure project documents are completed and signed per VWGoA standards. 4. Communication • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively, and hold regular status meetings with project team. • Effectively communicate relevant project information to VWGoA management. • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion. • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. EXPERIENCE: •Minimum of ten years of project management: o On projects that require daily participation from team members in multiple countries. o Where development teams are located in separate locations and/or countries o Where core Subject Matter Experts are in multiple locations •Ten years of project management, demonstrating leadership skills and possessing a track record of managing technical staff and financial resources through various life-cycle phases (cross-functional experience highly desirable) •Experience in Effective Project Implementation / Deployment strategies with a customer base distributed throughout the US and Canada. • Working knowledge with the application of formal methodologies, for implementation of Information Systems and associated Business Transformation/Change Management. •Experience in highly parallel work environments with projects utilizing iterative, incremental, and waterfall approaches to achieve their objectives. •Experience in the both business transformation and information technology projects is required •Ten or more years of leadership experience in which one or more of the following occurred: o Demonstrated strong abilities in relationship management o Successfully developed and implemented applications in new computing architecture environments, using new and emerging technologies o Demonstrated ability to manage multidiscipline, high-performance work teams and development groups o Demonstrated competency in the execution of projects o Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems •A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required (Master's degree or equivalent is desirable) •PMP certification is required (Active PMP Required) • Ability to speak Spanish (desired skill).
