Please send resume to [email protected] *Title: Data Architect* *Phone than Skype* *Location: Dallas, TX* *Duration-7 months* *Data Architect* This position is tasked with directing, designing, defining and managing data architecture; determines how data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and applications within company's technology estate in support of business initiatives and operational activities; identifies and evaluates emerging technologies for their applicability to business solutions, sets data architecture principles, develops data models that enable the implementation of the intended business architecture, creates diagrams depicting key data entities, and develops an inventory of the data needed to implement the architecture vision. Provides guidance and governance in the use of data across the enterprise and works within defined policies of Division and Group Enterprise Architecture and Assurance. *Qualifications:* • Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, engineering, mathematics or related engineering discipline, advanced degree preferred. • 6-10 years' experience in IT solution delivery serving as a mid- to senior-level data architect within a medium to large company or consulting organization. • Must have experience in managing complex projects which involve interaction with other systems and departments including proven experience developing detailed technical specifications, test plans, estimating technology project efforts. • Knowledge of, and experience with data integration, data transformation, Service Oriented Architecture, and data modeling. • Hands-on exposure to relevant data technologies such as: • Master Data Management tools and techniques • Big Data (Hadoop, HDInsight, Horton Works, Cloudera, MapReduce) • In-memory databases (SAP Hana, Terracotta) • Data visualization/discovery tools (ClickView, Spitfire, Tableau) • Data manipulation tools (TOAD, DB Visualizer, Erwin) • Distributed SQL Engines (Presto, NoSQL) • Streaming analytics tools (Apama) • Deep understanding of data architecture as a discipline and related processes, concepts and best practices, including governance and quality initiatives. Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies with a deep technical understanding of software development, data management and architecture. • Demonstrated technical depth in data modelling and database design. Must have demonstrable expertise in all phases of data modelling, data optimization, access, integration and distribution. • Proven track record of maintaining focus within project teams to ensure meeting project objectives. Must be able to organize and facilitate meetings involving appropriate groups in relation to project activities. • Knowledgeable in emerging technologies and technical opportunities for use in business processes to meet business objectives or to gain competitive advantage, such as Big Data, unstructured/semi-structured data. • Strong communication skills; excellent written and documentation skills, adept at technical drawings; comfortable in presenting to business and technology leaders. • Demonstrated high level of integrity, ability to work with ambiguity, and strong sense of confidence to deliver on responsibilities.
