*PHP Developer(backend developer with PHP ( NOT a front end PHP developer*) *Peachtree City, Georgia.* *Duration : 12 month contract* *seeking a Sr PHP Developer with Linux and heavy DB skills for a role at Eaton Lighting in Peachtree City, Georgia. We need someone with good Linux experience, comfortable with installation and configuration, including installation of PHP-specific libraries and extensions, as well as someone **well-versed in SQL* * and able to construct queries for CRUD operations through PHP, as well as someone with experience creating a PHP-based RESTful web service * *Specifically, the required skills are:* - *Database knowledge (MySQL, SQLite) – construction of SQL statements (with medium-complexity joins) for CRUD operations of system* - *Scripting languages (Python, PHP, SQL) – PHP will be the primary language and encompass 90% of the work. The resource will be writing RESTful endpoints in PHP as part of a PHP webserver. The endpoints will return requested data, create new data, update existing data, or delete. * - *Install, administer, and maintain Linux for embedded infrastructure* - *Troubleshoot Linux platforms, networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct operational problem* - *Server and infrastructure security and hardening experience* - *Demonstrable shell (BASH) scripting* - *In-depth command-line knowledge of Linux network services and their configuration (SSH, uDNS, DNS, NFS, etc.* - *Apache, lighttpd configuration experience* - *Create appropriate documentation of procedures and workflows used internally and externally with client* - *Experience with embedded servers such as beaglebone, Raspberry Pi, ODroid* - *Enthusiastic attitude for learning new skills* . *Hands-on experience in the following:* - *Implementing PHP scripts to handle RESTful Web Service requests to a standard web server on a Linux system (e.g. Apache, lighttpd).* - *Within the PHP script, access a SQL type database (e.g. SQLite, MySQL) to acquire response data* - *Within the PHP script, generate JSON encoded responses for the Web Service requests* - *Within the PHP script, communicate with other applications using a Linux socket interface to access application data for some responses* *If you are interested, please send your resume showing relevant experience ASAP.
