*Role - QA Analyst*

*Location - Vancouver, WA*

*Duration - 6 Months*


*Max Rate - $45/hr*

*Skype but local preferred.*

The primary purpose and function of the Sr. Analyst, Software Quality
Assurance (SQA) is to work with project stakeholders and software
development teams to ensure the quality of the requirements, design,
software, and SDLC process.



*Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:*

   - Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and
   team.
   - Work closely with business analysts, software developers and
   stakeholders in all phases of the software development life cycle.
   - Analyze, review, and validate requirement documents, design documents,
   and other artifacts.
   - Analyze, document and track defects and their resoulution.
   - Design, develop and execute test plans, test cases, and manual and
   automated test scripts.
   - Support other software development teams with the integration of peer
   systems by environment setup, test planning and test execution.
   - Analyze document and report quality metrics.
   - Articulate complex issues to technical and non-techinical audiences.
   - Lead small to medium sized projects, coaching and mentoring associates
   as needed.
   - Recommend improvements for Software QA and SDLC processes and
   procedures.
   - Other job duties as assigned.

*Special Working Conditions:*

   - Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
   - Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more
   than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
   - Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and
   language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to
   perform the duties proficiently.
   - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
   diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
   - Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as
   manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
   - Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with
   the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate
   necessary equipment.
   - The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
   - Environment where pets are present.

*Experience, Education and/or Training:*

   - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred, or the equivalent
   combination of education, training and experience that provides the
   required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
   - Four years relevant professional experience in Software testing and
   methodologies required.
   - Knowledge of project management fundamentals and experience managing
   small to medium sized projects including object oriented systems required
   - Experience working with SQL queries and  working within the framework
   of formal SDLC methodologies required.
   - Experience with agile type methodologies along with experience with
   Mercury QTP and Load Runner
   - Prefer health care background (veterinary or human healthcare,
   pharmaceutical, etc.)
