Embedded Software Engineer
Danvers, MA Local 6+ Months *Description:* Our client in Danvers, MA has a 6+ month contract for an Embedded Software Engineer. *Responsibilities:* - Develop new software algorithms / programs and change existing Software programs according to customer requirements and project needs. - Create software requirements documentation, contribute to software peer reviews, conduct software unit testing and participate in software validation. - Release and manage software versions. - Generate engineering documentation - Job requires good self‐ management skills and personal ownership of the development projects - Work closely with our product realization department and quality department - Commitment to working independently and creatively in a team environment - Proactively work through roadblocks to insure product performance is completely and optimally achieved. *Qualification / Requirements:* - BS / MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science - 3+ years of embedded hardware and software design experience *- Expert level C, C++, Assembly language, Compilers, Matlab, Simulink, Labview, Lab windows, other software design/development/test tools.* - Theoretical methodology for structuring and designing software, including use of tools such as flowcharts, state diagrams, truth tables and software models. As well as practical methods for verifying software performance and solving software problems, such as simulation, debug, emulation and data analysis. - Experience with Automotive communication protocols such as LIN, CAN, FlexRay - Familiar with Microchip, TI, Renaissance, Infineon microcontrollers - Embedded Software application development experience in automotive preferred - Excellent written and oral skills - Proven track record of bringing product from concept to manufacturing or delivery to customer. - Passion for new product development and innovation.
