This candidate will be supporting the Primary Engineer. They want to see candidates ASAP and want to start ASAP (will need to do DT and BG check) · On-site M-F in West Akron, OH (prefer local candidates or candidates that will relocate to the area) · Interview Process: 1 phone screen, 1 face to face (for the right candidate, they will do skype interview if they can’t do face to face) · At least 4 to 6 years of experience (not an entry level position, want someone fairly experienced) · Good strong understanding of cellular wireless technologies, CISCO connected grid error experience is a huge plus but not needed · Strong background with Cisco Nexus is a huge plus (7k and 9k platform) · Good interpersonal skills · Team size: couple dozen · This project will go for at least 18 to 24 months and then a great possibility for extension thereafter if resource does good work. Project goes through 2024, so could be very long-term for the right candidate · On-call support needed for upgrades and testing (needed only 3 to 4 times a year) *JOB SUMMARY*: -------- This position is accountable, under general supervision, for the installation, configuration and maintenance of complex data communication facilities used in the FirstEnergy Wide-Area Network.
