Digital Technology team is working in partnership with the firm's Digital
Marketing organization to create an industry leading digital experience in
support of the firm's strategic goals. The technology team is looking for
strong Ruby/Rails engineers with a strategic mindset who can join their
development team and help advance our business focused digital
capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Ruby/Rails, great
UIs and love to collaborate with likeminded individuals.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Working in a collaborative team environment to deliver on current projects
and help implement technical strategy and standards. With this balance in
mind you will be:
* Working in a modern code base with Ruby/Rails, SASS, Foundation, MongoDB.
* Working in an agile environment with product owners and a small
development team to meet project deliveries.
* Employ engineering practices that ensure a clean, maintainable and
extensible code-base.
* Supporting a strong culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
* 6+ years of experience in building and supporting web applications.
* 4+ years of experience in Ruby/Rails including: erb, haml and
ActiveRecord.
* 3+ years of experience in developing externally facing web applications
using HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, SASS, jQuery.
* In depth knowledge of Ruby, its idioms, mechanisms, and how best to
leverage them to build applications.
* Strong knowledge of database technology including relational and NoSQL
technologies e.g. MongoDB.
* Experience in designing and implementing service-oriented REST APIs.
* Strong track record of adopting test practices using TDD, Rspec, Capybara
and continuous integration.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a multi-team agile
environment.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* An inquisitive mind and continuous learner to maintain a sustainable
delivery culture.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Notes from MSP: Manager is looking for a Senior Web
Developer – Ruby/Rails Full Stack in Denver, CO. Phone interview with be 1
hour long with 2 Managers. In Person interview will be 1 hour long with the
whole delivery team (4 Managers). Non local candidates are ok, as long as
they can relocate at their own expense. If non local, please be sure to
highlight that when submitting your candidate. Skype/Video interview ok for
non-local candidates. No subcontracting.
4 years of Ruby on Rails, 6 years building and supporting Web applications.
3+ years' experience developing external facing web applications using
HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, SASS and jQuery. Looking for candidates that are
strong partnership focused, can work in a collaborative environment with
Agile and Jira experience. 6 month assignment with the possibility for an
