*Role – Sr Java Developer(10+ Yrs Resume)* *Location - Minneapolis, MN Duration – 12+ Months * *Interview - Phone and In Person.* They will consider non-local for all roles open if the candidate is willing to travel for a final round in-person (we can discuss how to help pay for that if we get that far). Look for strong profiles, 10+ years of experience. *Position Overview:* *Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:* · Developing Java/Spring web applications · Aggressive refactoring · High comfort level with Unix/Linux command line · Object Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture design *Skills Overview:* *What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate?* * Basic Qualifications:* • 10+ years of experience developing object-oriented software, with concentrations in: - Object-oriented analysis and design & design patterns - Dependency injection/IoC containers - Server-side web application technologies using REST - Programming for concurrency & scalability - Test-driven development - Client-side web application technologies (HTML/CSS) · Can autonomously execute on broad technical epics and deliverables with minimal supervision or input. · Can provide insightful, concise, constructive feedback during code review and pairing with junior developers. *Preferred Qualifications:* • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) • Experience working on teams using agile methodologies • Comfort working with Mac OS X and Linux/shell scripting • Specific software development experience in: - Java, especially Java 8 - Netflix Open Source Platform - Cassandra (or other non-relational data stores) - Storm, Akka, Flink or other distributed computing platforms - Backbone.js, Angular.js, or other JavaScript web application frameworks - Solr, Lucene, ElasticSearch, or other foundational search technologies *Strong Candidate Profile:* You are experienced at building web applications and services using object-oriented programming languages, preferably in Java with frameworks like Spring. Our main language is Java, but knowing at least one other language is a preferred. You like hard problems and enjoy the challenge of solving them with the team. This isn't a job where you are merely going to move a line break around. On that note, a statistics background is nice to have, and of course we like math too. You can solve the problem of scale, or more specifically engineering so scale is not a problem in production. You are comfortable in designing and engineering systems that handle scale without a sweat. You want to learn.
