*Role: Cloud Application DeveloperLocation: Philadelphia, PADuration: 6-14 months* Project Description: Senior Cloud Application Developer Work with the Cloud First team within Client to establish and build cloud-native web application architecture on the Amazon Web Services platform using modern Microservice and RESTful web service architectures. Main responsibilities include contributing to the development and deployment of cloud-native web applications, developing proof of concepts, performing technology evaluations, and creating reference implementations as part of a team spanning the application development stack including the user interface, service, session management, integration, and continuous integration and deployment tiers. Organize and document findings for easy consumption by developers. Participate in peer code reviews, peer architecture reviews, and contribute to iteratively improving development processes through team retrospectives. *Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of related experience with architecting and implementing RESTful web services, and have a demonstrated mastery of Python, The Django REST Framework, JSON, NodeJS, Jenkins, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6), and git. Hands-on experience with the Amazon Web Services platform including IAM, S3, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, RDS, SQS, and SNS as well as Docker. Knowledge of AngularJS, Bootstrap, JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) a plus. Must be familiar with agile development methodologies and automated testing tools with a collaborative team-oriented approach. Familiarity with PostgreSQL 9.5+ strongly preferred.
