Need local candidate We are looking for an experienced WebSphere administrator who will primarily be responsible to support Client’s business critical applications. This position is for the Development Operations team. *Job Description* [image: Description: https://counter.adcourier.com/bGF0dC43MTU2Mi40MDczQGJlYWNvbmhpbGwuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif] One of our clients in Orange county is looking for an experienced WebSphere Administrator who will primarily e responsible to support client's business critical applications. *Job Description:* Our team is responsible for creating new and innovative ways to automate and integrate infrastructure and applications on newer technologies that provide scalable solutions for our internal and external clients. * Provide level-3 support for issues concerning IBM WebSphere Application server and WebSphere Portal Server framework * May include emergency off-hours support as a Subject Matter Expert * Partner with our development teams and ensure smooth and efficient automated deployments. * Must be able to understand and provide detailed knowledge of the applications and the upstream and downstream dependencies and impacts * Should be able understand the application processes, component dependencies and act as subject matter expert for middleware and web components to team and partners * Takes ownership of technical problems and is proactive when dealing with system issues and urgency of the issues. * When dealing with major issues, the candidate is expected to make key technical recommendations based on their knowledge of the systems and the process flows involved * Effectively communicate issues and status updates with all teams concerned . This includes business teams,application development teams, test center of excellence and systems engineers. * Create and maintain a knowledge base and library of artifacts to ensure that knowledge transfer takes place within the team * Experience in Full-Life-Cycle Development of Web projects * Experience with creating entire application infrastructure environments. Good knowledge of security concepts using LDAP, SSO solutions , SSL certificates , firewalls , DMZ is desired. *Technical Competencies:* Be proficient in Java/J2EE technologies and share expertise with the team to address infrastructure requirements and to address issues efficiently. Manage a wide range of platform infrastructure components. Strong experience in architecting/engineering web platforms using IBM WebSphere/Tomcat, IBM HTTP Server/Apache and web monitoring tools . Continuous improvement with tools and procedures aligned to industry best practices for Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) models Experience with PYTHON, wsadmin, powershell, Desired State config(DSC) ... Excellent troubleshooting skills to scan through the application and Log files Strong experience in windows VM infrastructure and firewalls,Load balancers..
