*Job Title:* DevOps Engineer *Location: *NYC (midtown) *Duration:* Long Term rate $50/hr *OVERVIEW OF ROLE: * - *The DevOps Engineer will provide DevOps and systems administration support for Digital Technical Operations and will be responsible for systems administration, application deployment, server management, system/application monitoring, and managing migration to CI using industry standard tools to AWS infrastructure.* *PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * - Traditional systems administration and application deployment, - Managing servers and monitoring systems and applications in LEMP/Ruby on Rails stacks - *Managing migration to CI using industry standard tools to AWS infrastructure.* - Writes and orchestrates automation of tests in a Cl/CD environment - Perform functional, integration, regression, multi-variant and performance testing on an as needed basis - Sets up automated monitoring tools (e.g. pingdom, log analysis tools, new relic, etc.) *SKILL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:* - *5+ years proven experience administering machines in a cloud-based environment; Linux (Ubuntu 14) systems administration.* - Must be able to understand and use infrastructure automation tools (Ansible/Capistrano/ Jenkins). - Experience with monitoring software (Zenoss, Nagios, Cacti, collectd, Graphite). - Must have knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, NTP and DNS. - Experience with various relational and noSQL databases (MySQL, RDS, Redis). - Experience with deploying and supporting several methods of serving applications (Apache, Nginx). - Experience with source control system (Git) - Knowledge of modern scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby) - Knowledge of Ruby, Redis, Varnish, C, Java a plus *PERSONALITY TRAITS:* - Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal - A team player that will thrive in our fluid, fast-paced, dynamic, scaling environment - A highly motivated self-starter - Operates with a sense of urgency and values accountability - A creative problem solver who makes concise and informed decisions - Detail-oriented and highly organized with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects from inception to production release - Conducts him/herself with a high degree of integrity *Randhir Kumar* *IDC Technologies, Inc Mailto: [email protected] <[email protected]> _____________________________________* *Empowering Technologies Services* *Remote Services | IT Services | BPO | * *IT Consulting | Staffing Solutions |* *_____________________________________* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT RECURITER" group.
