Position: Business Systems Analyst Location: San Jose, CA (Local candidates only) Duration: 6+ Month Contract Rate: $50
Must haves: Financial/Banking industry experience, loan origination experience, and 5+ years of experience *RESPONSIBILITIES:* The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for serving as a liaison with business owners, 3rd party vendors and technical IT professionals to lead and facilitate the elicitation and prioritization of business requirements for a project to replace our current mortgage origination system. This candidate will be responsible for advanced business process and system analysis, research and problem solving in cooperation with stakeholders, third party vendors and the project team members in order to meet business objectives. The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for key documents such as business requirements (BRD), interface specifications, report specifications, workflow charts, diagrams and training material. The candidate should have a good grasp of system/solution design. *EXPERIENCE:* 5 or more years of experience including a demonstrated lead role in requirements elicitation. The ideal candidate has BSA experience in mortgage origination and new system implementations. *TECHNICAL, FUNCTIONAL AND TEAM SKILLS:* • Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking and problem solving • Excellent written and spoken English skills • Attention to detail • Self-motivated seasoned professional with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent along with 5 or more years of business analysis experience • Experience with software development life cycle and associated deliverables. • Demonstrated ability to influence IT and business stakeholders • Rapid absorption of new information or new domains • Provide expert advice within portfolio and for other portfolios • Confidently present findings to senior management and executives • Develop and deliver powerful presentations by positioning content and objectives appropriately (i.e. positive verses negative tone) for the audience. • Ability to develop and present data analysis results in a meaningful way for business senior managers and executives to easily comprehend quickly as part of the decision-making process • Ability to gather, analyze, prioritize and present requirements • Display an excellent understanding of upstream and downstream applications and the implications of proposed requirements and/or solutions.
