Meet business users to understand and analyze their processes – 20% of time. 2. Analyze the data generated by the business process, define the granularity, source to target mapping of the data elements, and create Indexes and Aggregate tables for the data warehouse design and development – 25% of time. 3. Lead Data Modeling, System/Data Analysis, Design and Development for Data warehousing environments (the physical modelling using Erwin will be done by the database analyst from ODE). Build Logical Data models (Dimensional & Relational) using concepts like Star-Schema Modeling, Snowflake Schema Modeling, Fact and Dimension tables. Our Data Warehouse system resides on an Oracle environment. – 30% of time 4. Assist the ETL developer in populating the data from the transactional system to the data warehouse system. ODE uses Informatica for ETL. – 5% of time Optional Duties (Based on skills or resource availability) 5. Create CUBE using Microsoft Analysis Service -- Create dimensions, measures and measure groups. These cubes will source the data from the data warehouse system as defined in the Step 2. – 10% of time 6. Create Microsoft SSRS - 10% of time. Also, assist/train ODE .NET developers in SSRS report creations. Total 100% Position Description – Position Requirements Experience Requirements. Make sure what you are asking for is measurable. For example, say ‘x years of experience using software z’ instead of just saying ‘experience using various software’. - 8-10 years' overall experience in IT - 5-7 years in data warehouse design / maintenance. - 3--5 years' experience in each position skill listed below - Meeting business users and analyze the requirements for the dimensional purpose. - Star-Schema Modeling, Snowflake Schema Modeling, Fact and Dimension tables. Modelling experience in an Oracle database environment is preferred. - Must have experience in designing dimensional data models/facts from scratch. - Highly recommended but not required skills. 1-2 years' experience in each position skill listed below: - Building CUBE using Microsoft Analysis Service. - Building reports using Microsoft SSRS - Recommended but not required skills. 1-2 years' experience in each position skill listed below - Microsoft SSIS/Informatica for ETL - PL/SQL and/or T-SQL - MDX Queries A description of the team the candidate will be working in.
