*Job Title: Senior Developer/Architect ASP.Net MVC*

The most important aspect of the role is strong ASP.Net MVC and Jquery
experience – they will want to see that experience reflected on the resume
and the interview will primarily consist of a deep technical drilldown on
those skills. The manager is looking for ASP.NET MVC ‘expert’ who has
worked on 2-4 large (or XLG!) ASP.NET MVC projects as a senior developer.
*Project Deliverables*
*The developers will:*
*• *Apply advanced software development experience and skill
for Microsoft technologies;
• Provide technical leadership to team members;
• Work independently with minimal guidance while also
participating on project teams
• Prepare and participate in release readiness for software
development deployments to the TEST and
• PROD environments;
• Prepare and participate in continuous process improvement
efforts;
• Provide clear, concise and honest communication;
• Provide other DOC development, as needed.
*Project Environment*
*• *Each of the COMS modules will be executed as a
sub-project under the overall COMS Modernization project.
• Each sub-project will have a team consisting of a PM,
BA(s), Application and Database Developer(s), and QA(s), with those
resources consisting of both internal resources and consultants. The size
of the team depends on the complexity and size of the rewrite effort for
the COMS module.
• Microsoft technologies will be used such as C#.NET, MVC,
Entity Framework, SQL Server (SSIS, T-SQL), Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• For security reasons, resources will work onsite at the
DOC Central Office located at 1450 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul, MN. The
candidates must be available during core business hours. Parking is free.
*Responsibilities Expected *
The candidates must pass a full criminal background check which includes
fingerprints. Information for the background check will be provided to the
vendor after the candidates are selected.
Candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
Candidates will provide knowledge transfer to MN.IT @ DOC staff before
the end of the contract.
• 5 years experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, SSRS).
• 4 years experience with Entity Framework.
• 4 years experience with ASP.NET MVC.
*Desired Skills*
• Criminal Justice experience.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
• Collaborative software development team experience, up to
at least 4-5 team members.
• Experience in system modernization efforts for
applications with a technology obsolescence.
• Experience and continuous education in secure software
development such as:
• Regular use of security static code analysis tools such as
Veracode, HP Fortify, etc.
• Participating in security trainings offered by various
entities (e.g. OWASP, etc.) focusing on current secure software development
best practices.
• Participating in formal security code reviews.
