*Job : DevOps Engineer*
*Location : Hopkins, MN*
*Contract Length : 6+ month contract and the client wants the option to
hire in the future, most likely after the contract eligibility is up (2
years)*
*Local/Non-Local : Local candidates only*
*Visa Status : US Citizen or Green Card*
*DevOps Engineer*
*Responsibilities:*
Recommend new and emerging techniques, tools, and best practices
Building infrastructure using code that will be deployed in AWS and
corporate network
Build and deploy apps using Docker and continuous integration
Build scripts that will backup databases and apps and restore on demand
Implement monitoring and health checks to make sure that the
infrastructures performing at optimal levels
Provide reports that show uptime and status of infrastructure
*Required Skills/Experience:*
Strong experience writing technical and design documentation is critical.
Must have FULL STACK Java development abilities in Java , SQL, Python,
XML/XSLT, HTML, API, RESTful web services, or similar technologies.
Experience with AngularJS, API Management, and Databases including
Postgres and ElasticSearch.
Working and customization knowledge of Confluence and Jira
Must have experience with object oriented architecture, design patterns,
and multi-threaded application development.
Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) cloud environment.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ( RHEL ) operating system.
Docker container container-based virtualization technologies.
Kubernetes container orchestration and scheduling deployments, scaling,
and management of containerized shared service applications.
