*What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be
detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily
basis)*
Ø Expected to work on both tactical and strategic assignments.
Ø Expected to handle the manual work while figuring out how to automate
it.
Ø Deep understanding of each application deployed in Production
Ø Troubleshooting Production issues and driving creative solutions
Ø Driving and Documenting Root Cause Analysis of Problems experienced
Ø Communicating and managing Production support issues with your
consumers
Ø Work with the development team to do bug fixes and make improve the
platform reliability
Ø Demonstrate and continuously develop substantial depth of knowledge
and experience in a specific area of Java development and Portal and large
scale product support
*What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily
responsibilities?*
o Agile methodologies and Test Driven Development
o Experience in high level programming language - Java (Expert level)
o Experience with programmatic interaction with a relational database
like Oracle, PostGre SQL
o Experience in the support handling multiple projects at the same.
o Prior experience in working with Core Optum/UHG IT infrastructure and
products.
o Knowledge of the Middle-ware and Streaming technologies MuleESB and
Kafka/Zookeeper.
0 Experience in supporting and troubleshooting issue multiple java
platforms
*What skills/attributes are a must have?*
o 9+ years of Development and Support experience on the Portal and
Middle-ware technologies
o 5+ years hands-on expertise with API/Java Development.
o 5+ years hands-on expertise with Core Java programming and frameworks
o 5+ years hands-on expertise with UNIX shell scripts and commands
o 4+ years of experience working on large scale, multiple team projects
o 3+ years of experience working on Dynatrace or similar products tools
for production troubleshooting.
o 2+ years of continuous integration experience (for example tools like
Jenkins, Anthill Pro).
*What skills/attributes are nice to have?*
3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and Test Driven
Development
